SpaceX Tests Used Falcon 9 Rocket
SpaceX has been testing a Falcon 9 rocket that it has previously used in a launch. No details were discovered during the so-called static fire test, which makes it appear that the rocket is still functioning properly.
The aerospace company showed a photo of the test on Twitter. This was carried out with the first stage of the Falcon 9, and was subjected to a static fire test, during which the whole remained on the ground. The intention is to send the Falcon 9 back into space after all tests have been completed. If all goes well, that launch could take place as early as March.
SpaceX has been trying to land its rockets again for some time now. This has already been achieved a few times by using a drone ship at sea, but sending a used rocket back into space is something the company is not yet daring. It has, however, found a partner with satellite maker SES for the launch.
Last month, SpaceX started launching its Falcon 9 rocket again after the missions had been halted for several months. That had to do with a failed launch, in which a rocket exploded due to technical problems.
