SpaceX capsule Dragon docks at the ISS
The Dragon capsule containing supplies for the International Space Station, launched Tuesday, has successfully arrived. As a result, the unloading of the cargo can be started soon, according to space company SpaceX.
The arrival Friday was as planned. On Tuesday, the Dragon capsule was successfully launched with a Falcon 9 rocket. The capsule has now been attached to the International Space Station and SpaceX has left a number of photos of it as proof to see. Due to the connection with the space shuttle, the unloading of the items that Dragon has brought can soon start. That is expected to happen tomorrow, when the hatch is opened.
So it appears that SpaceX has successfully completed another resupply mission for the ISS. However, not everything has been successfully executed at launch. The Falcon 9 thruster used for the launch had to return to Earth cleanly, by landing on a sea platform. That almost went well, but in the end the rocket still fell over.
