The local provider SKP was unable to provide internet or television services to customers due to a ransomware attack last weekend. ‘Most’ customers should now have TV and internet again. SKP provides services in Delfgauw, Nootdorp and Pijnacker.

The ransomware attack took place on the morning of Saturday, April 22, writes the provider. The attack “caused an outage of all our services,” SKP writes. It is not clear how the cyber-attack could have caused this. Since the attack, the provider can ‘partially’ deliver internet and television services to customers again. “Unfortunately, there are still problems with our telephone service, the SKP e-mail is not working and there are still individual customers experiencing internet problems.”

SKP also says it wants to tackle these problems, but does not yet know when all problems can be solved. It is also not known whether the hackers stole data, says SKP. The provider says it will file a report with the police. It is not known how much the hackers demand. SKP offers both fiber and coax services.
