Sony Xperia XZ is the most successful Android smartphone this fall
A statistics collector for apps claims that the Sony Xperia XZ is the most successful Android smartphone this fall. Apteligent comes across the XZ more in the statistics than, for example, the Google Pixel and OnePlus 3T.
The most used Android devices in Apteligent’s database are all models in Samsung’s Galaxy S series in recent years, but in the category of Android smartphones released in the past six months, the Xperia XZ outperformed, with a share of around 0.14 percent. Apteligent writes this in its annual review. That’s still much less than the Galaxy Note 7 that was taken off the market at its peak. Back then, 0.35 percent of the devices were a Note 7.
Apteligent is the statistic collector behind tens of thousands of apps, which are launched a total of hundreds of millions of times a month. Those apps send data about the device to the service, which then gives customers insight into trends that emerge from the data. One of the applications that provides data to Apteligent is Pokémon Go.
The Xperia XZ leaves the Google Pixel, LG V20, Moto Z and OnePlus 3T behind. Exact sales numbers are unknown, but such statistics provide a picture of how many devices are in the hands of users.
