Sony XH90 just seems to get VRR, but proper operation on TVs is tricky

According to Sony, the XH90-4k LCD TV will still receive the firmware updates for the addition of VRR and ALLM. There were reports that Sony would waive this. However, it is a technique that is not so easy to implement on TVs.

A Sony Benelux spokesperson said Sony Europe has made the following statement regarding whether Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode will be coming to the XH90: “As of now, we still expect VRR and ALLM for XH90 in the future. will be added via a firmware update.’
