Sony to lend PlayStation 5 dev kits and test kits to indie developers

Indie developers can borrow a PlayStation 5 dev kit and test kit from Sony. The company says it wants to “lower the barrier for independent developers to make games for the PlayStation 5”.

Sony has the program it Development Hardware Loan Program named. In it, indie developers who qualify for the program can receive a PlayStation 5 dev kit and test kit at no cost. Normally, studios have to purchase these kits.

Currently, developers from Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia can join the program. Indie developers in the countries and regions listed can contact Sony to see if they are eligible for the initiative.
