Sony starts studio for developing virtual reality games
Sony has opened a development studio that will focus on creating virtual reality games. The games will be available for Project Morpheus, the VR glasses that Sony wants to bring to the market next year.
Users on the Neogaf forum found that Sony has posted a job posting for a job at the new development studio, which is called North West Studio and is located in England. The company is looking for an experienced programmer for a game engine. The description states that the studio is in the business of making games that will be released exclusively for Project Morpheus, the VR goggles the company announced earlier.
It is also not clear which games are planned and when they should be released. Since Sony wants to release its VR glasses Project Morpheus next year, it is likely that a number of games should be ready by then.
Sony is not the first to develop VR games. Last week, Ubisoft announced that it is also working on a number of games for VR glasses. Ubisoft’s games must also work on Project Morpheus.
