Sony starts sales of Bravia X85J LCDs with HDR and HDMI 2.1
Sony has started selling its Bravia X85J televisions. These are LED TVs with 4k resolution and HDR. The televisions are for sale from 43 to 85 inches, and cost between 950 and 3200 euros. All models have a variable refresh rate and HDMI 2.1.
The TVs have an LED panel with a refresh rate of 100Hz. They are powered by Sony’s own X1 processor and have an HDMI 2.1 connection. The X85J also has support for Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos, variable refresh rate , auto low latency mode and eARC. In the speakers, Sony uses its own X-Balanced technology to deepen the bass tones.
Sony will be selling the televisions in the Netherlands and Belgium from Wednesday. There will be six models on the market, of 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches. The TVs run on Android TV and have a microphone making them compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, HomeKit and AirPlay 2.
The six models will cost 950, 1100, 1300, 1700, 2300 and 3200 euros respectively.
