At the photography fair CP+, Sony released images of the menu of its, as yet unnamed, compact camera design with interchangeable lenses. The video is an update of the video that Sony released for the PMA 2010 photo fair.

Sony has put a new promotional video online in which it shows part of the menu interface of its new compact system camera shows. Sony released the video on the occasion of the CP+ photography fair, which will be held in Yokohama from March 11 to 14. Apart from the menu images, the video largely contains the same shots like the promo video released at the PMA 2010 photography show in February.

In the menu images we see, among other things, a screen similar to a main menu with an icon with the caption ‘camera’, icons for the mode selection and the image recording format and for the color and brightness settings of the LCD. There is also a Setup icon and an option to play back captured photos and videos.

While shooting, a curve on the right of the window allows you to set depth of field, while recalling context-sensitive photography tips. In the display mode, a division is made between photos and videos.

Sony showed the same mock-ups of the compact camera design on the CP+ 2010 as on the PMA 2010, without a mirror housing, but with interchangeable lenses. Other than a look at the menu interface, Sony has not revealed any details about the new camera on the CP+ 2010. For example, it is still not clear whether the camera is equipped with a touchscreen. According to SonyAlphaRumors will release the smallest Alpha in May, but confirmation of this rumor is lacking.
