Sony seems to be offering a movie subscription with PlayStation Plus
Sony’s website contains a reference to PlayStation Plus Video Pass and a Polish page temporarily had more information. Video Pass appears to be a subscription for movies and PlayStation Plus users will have access to it for a year starting Thursday.
Video Pass was described on a Polish page of the Sony website as “a new benefit for PlayStation Plus, available as a trial for a limited time, from April 22, 2021 to April 22, 2022.” The page has since been taken offline, but VideoGamesChronicle has made a screenshot. An image of the Video Pass logo is still online on a PlayStation server.
The home page featured three movies: Venom, Zombieland Double Tap, and Bloodshot. Those are films from Columbia Pictures, a Sony production company. It seems that Sony will offer its own films to PlayStation Plus subscribers with Video Pass.
It appears that PlayStation Plus subscribers will pay nothing for Video Pass for the first year. Because this is a trial, it is likely that you will have to pay for this movie extension of the PlayStation subscription. Details about this are not yet known.
