Sony presents Xperia 10 V with the same soc as its predecessor
Sony has presented the mid-range smartphone Xperia 10 V. The phone has the same soc as its predecessor from last year and that doesn’t happen often with smartphones. The phone is slightly larger than the previous Xperia 10, but also has a slightly larger screen.
The Xperia 10 V has a 6.1″ OLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels, good for an aspect ratio of 21:9. Sony has been using that aspect ratio for years for almost all its smartphones. Last year’s Xperia 10 IV has a 6 .0″ screen. The 10 V is slightly larger, at 155x68x8.3mm, but also slightly lighter at 159g.
The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G soc just like its predecessor. The working memory has a capacity of 6GB, while the phone is equipped with an expandable storage of 128GB. The storage can be expanded with microSDXC cards.
The primary camera is a 48-megapixel sensor with a size of around 30 square millimeters. In addition, there are two 8-megapixel cameras on the back. One has an ultra-wide-angle lens and a sensor size of 8 square millimeters, the third has a telephoto camera and a sensor size of 6 square millimeters. The Xperia 10 V will be released in June for 449 euros. Sony also announced the 1399 euro Xperia 1 V on Thursday.
