From October 21, the price of the Sony PlayStation 4 will drop from 399 to 349 euros. This is apparent from advertising brochures from various stores and price listings on various websites. Sony previously lowered the price of the console in Japan and the US.

Although Sony has not yet officially announced the price reduction in Europe, brochures from stores such as Intertoys and Bart Smit show that the console will be sold from October 21 for 349 euros. This is the 500GB model without games. Although Intertoys speaks of a promotional price in its brochure, it seems to be a general price reduction. A number of Pricewatch stores have also included the PlayStation 4 in their range with a price of 349 euros and availability date of October 21.

Currently, the PlayStation 4 officially has a suggested retail price of 399 euros. In recent times, however, the console has also been sold for less, or bundled with a game for that amount. In September, the 1TB model including a game could be purchased at many stores for 369 euros. However, that was a temporary action.

Sony announced a price cut for Japan on September 15. There, the suggested retail price of the PlayStation 4 has fallen since October 1. On October 8, Sony made an official price cut in the US and Canada. In the US, the suggested retail price dropped from $399 to $349.
