Sony makes PSN ID change feature available on Thursday
Sony will allow changing the ID on PlayStation Network Thursday. That says the console maker in its own blog. Sony already announced the feature at the end of 2017, but gave game makers time to adjust games.
Despite that time, not all games are ready, Sony says. The manufacturer’s list shows that it concerns ten games, including various MLB games, Worms Battlegrounds, Just Dance 2017, LittleBigPlanet 3 and Onrush. Players of those games could lose their progress or purchased items if they change their PSN ID, Sony said.
Changing the ID can be done on a PS4 console or in the browser. That is possible from Thursday. Sony already announced six months ago that the function would be active in early 2019 and that testers could try it out. At the end of 2017, Sony already said it would start working on the ability to change the PSN ID.
