Sony launches stabilized 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens for aps-c cameras
Sony has announced a new lens for its APS-C E-mount cameras. The 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom features optical image stabilization. The zoom lens will be on the market in February, for a suggested retail price of 650 euros.
The optical construction consists of sixteen lens elements in twelve groups. Sony uses one aspherical element and two Extra-low Dispersion elements. The zoom lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm, measured from the sensor plane, and the aperture consists of seven blades.
55mm filters can be placed on the front thread. The lens is 88mm long, has a diameter of 67mm and weighs 325 grams. The 18-135mm lens is intended for Sony’s compact system cameras with aps-c sensor, such as the A6000 series. Together with the introduction of the zoom lens, Sony announces that there will be a silver version of the A6300 camera.
