Sony confirms the arrival of PS4 version The Last of Us
Sony has confirmed that the company will release a PlayStation 4 version of action-adventure game The Last of Us in the summer. However, there would be no question of a sequel to the game released for the PS3 last year.
According to Sercan Sulun, a Turkish marketing manager for Sony Computer Entertainment, The Last of Us will be released this summer for PlayStation 4, IGN reports. The game will be available for purchase both physically and digitally. A specific release date or price has not yet been announced.
Sulun made his revelation during an interview with the Turkish website Multiplayer. When asked if there was a sequel to The Last of Us, the PlayStation representative replied: “No, as far as I know there isn’t a sequel, but I can say that the first game will come to PlayStation 4 this summer. will be released, both physically and digitally, and with improved graphics.” Sulun added that the PS4 version will also include the content of the Left Behind DLC pack.
While The Last of Us hasn’t been officially announced for the PlayStation 4 yet, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the game were indeed released for Sony’s most recent console. The game, which was released at the beginning of June last year, has sold more than six million times for the PS3 and is one of the most popular games of 2013. In addition, development studio Naughty Dog recently announced that a PS4 version is possible, although the studio kept then full that the decision to make a PS4 version had not yet been made.
