Sony comes with patch to address touch problems white Xperia Z5 Compact
Sony will release an update for the Xperia Z5 Compact next week that should resolve issues with the touch input, among other things. The problems only occur with the white version of the device, Sony concludes.
Sony will release the update early next week through its PC Companion and Bridge for Mac support software. According to the company, a “limited” number of customers are experiencing problems with the touch input of their Xperia Z5 Compact.
“We have found the cause by collecting information and analyzing returned devices. We are releasing new software to improve the user experience of your white Z5 Compact. Other color versions of the Xperia Z5 Compact do not have the problem,” said a support representative from Sony on the Sony Mobile forum.
He does not give details about the cause. Earlier this month, reports appeared about faltering touch input on the screen of the Xperia Z5 Compact. Initially it seemed to be a hardware problem, but now Sony seems to be able to fix it with a software update. It is not clear why only the white Xperia has the problem.
