Sony will not be attending the PAX East game fair due to concerns about the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The stock market opens next week in the American city of Boston. Sony withdraws to protect employee health.

Last week, Sony said it was still present at the fair, but in an update to the blog post, Sony says that the company is withdrawing. “We felt this was the safest option as the situation changes every day,” the company said. “We are disappointed to have to cancel our attendance, but the health and safety of our employees worldwide is our primary concern.”

Sony would be present with a booth where visitors could have played The Last Of Us II and Final Fantasy VII Remake. The fair attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. Sony previously canceled its attendance at the Mobile World Congress telecom fair. That fair was supposed to take place in Barcelona next week, but has been canceled completely due to concerns about SARS-CoV-2.
