Sony brings Vita TV as PlayStation TV to Europe in autumn

Sony will release the PlayStation Vita TV in Europe in the fall under the name PlayStation TV. It is a small console with which PSP and PS Vita games can be played on the TV and where games from the PS4 can be streamed. The Vita TV was already out in Japan.

Sony announced the release for the American and European market during its press conference at E3. The company is releasing the PlayStation TV as a single product for $99. In addition, there will be a bundle with a DualShock controller, 8GB memory card, an HDMI cable and a download code for the game Lego: The Movie Videogame. This bundle will cost $139. The European prices are not yet known.

The PlayStation TV is a 6×10 centimeter console with the same processor and graphics chips as the PS Vita and with connections for HDMI, USB and LAN, and 1 GB of internal memory on board as standard. Two DualShock 3 controllers can be connected to the console at the same time. Via Remote Play, the small console can receive PS4 games streaming and PS3 games are also available via PS Now. Finally, the PlayStation TV can run PS Vita, PSP and classic PS One games.
