Sony announces suggested retail prices for Bravia UHDTVs with HDR support
Sony will release its lineup of new Bravia TVs in March. The largest model, a 75″ UHDTV with HDR support, will cost 5000 euros. The cheapest UHDTV with HDR costs 1800 euros. All UHD models are equipped with Android TV.
At CES, Sony announced its new Bravia UHDTVs with HDR support. The absolute top model, the XD94 with a diagonal of 75 “and a full array LED backlight with local dimming, is not coming to the Benelux. The model is missing from the price list that Sony has released. The XD93 series, which comes from a edge-lit LED backlight with local dimming is provided. Both the 65″ and 55” versions are 11.8 mm thick at the thinnest point.
All new Sony UHDTVs with HDR are equipped with a Sony X1 image processor and have Android TV as the operating system. The models in the XD85 series do not have a ‘floating’ design, but have a regular design. Sony sells the largest of these, with a diagonal of 75″, for a suggested retail price of 5000 euros.
In addition to UHD TVs, Sony is also releasing a number of new Full HD TVs with sizes from 32″ to 48″. Prices start at 380 euros and go up to 750 euros for the largest model. The models in this series have 1920×1080 pixels and are not equipped with Android TV.
