Sony announces 199 euro Xperia L1 smartphone with MediaTek soc
Sony has announced a new mainstream model in its Xperia lineup of smartphones. The L1 has a quad-core soc from MediaTek, 2GB ram, a 5.5″ screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and runs on Android Nougat. The device will be released at the end of April.
The soc is the MT6737T, with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 1.45GHz. The device has 16GB emmc memory for storage that can be expanded with a micro-SD card. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens; the selfie camera has a 5-megapixel sensor and also an f/2.2 lens. The L1, like other recently presented Xperia models, has a USB-c port.
The LCD is 5.5″ in size and has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The smartphone has 4G support and runs on Android Nougat. It is not clear whether it is version 7.0 or 7.1, Sony speaks of “the latest version”. Xperia L1 is 8.7mm thick, weighs 170 grams and has a battery with a capacity of 2620mAh.The device comes in the colors black, white and pink.The design resembles that of the devices from the more expensive Xperia XZ and XA series. series, with rounded corners.
