Sony adds Ayrton Senna content to Gran Turismo 6
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that Ayrton Senna content will be added to racing game Gran Turismo 6 this month. On Thursday it will be exactly twenty years since the Brazilian crashed during a Formula 1 race in San Marino.
The Ayrton Senna update will be added to Gran Turismo 6 sometime in the second half of May. The content will allow gamers to recreate various moments from the career of the three-time Formula 1 world champion, Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog. Although it is not known when these moments are involved, it is already clear that the old Lotus F1 car will make its appearance in the game.
Sony works together with the Ayrton Senna Institute, which was founded by Senna’s sister Viviane to realize the dreams after his death. The partnership between the two parties should regularly update a special Senna page on the Gran Turismo website in May. The update for Gran Turismo 6 should be the crowning glory of that work.
Ayrton Senna made his Formula 1 debut in 1984 and won the world championship as a driver for the McLaren team in 1988, 1990 and 1991. On May 1, 1994, during the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola, the much-loved Senna died at the age of 34 in a crash with his Williams FW16.
