Sonos introduces Pro subscription with remote speaker management for companies in the US
Sonos is introducing a Pro plan for businesses in the US. This subscription allows companies to remotely manage their Sonos speakers in multiple locations and provides access to licensed music. Sonos Pro costs $35 per month, per location.
Sonos targets its Pro subscription on businesses, such as restaurants, shops and offices. Through the subscription, users can manage their Sonos speakers in different locations individually and remotely via a web dashboard. This allows users to, among other things, limit the volume, see what kind of music is being played and control that music in real time.
The subscription also offers licensed and commercial-free music selected by Sonos, suitable for playback in commercial spaces such as restaurants. The subscription offers the option to schedule certain music genres for specific times of the day. Customers will also receive expanded customer service support and the ability to remotely troubleshoot and reset Sonos speakers. Sonos Pro works with all Sonos speakers that support the S2 software, in addition to the Sonos Amp and Sonos Port.
Sonos Pro will be available in the United States on Tuesday. The subscription costs $35 per month per affiliated location. The service will eventually also be available outside the US, although Sonos has not announced exactly when that will happen.
