Sonic Frontiers is expected to be released on November 8. This is evident from a trailer that SEGA itself had published on Tuesday. However, not long after publication, the trailer shared via YouTube was set to private. It is likely that SEGA accidentally published the trailer.

The trailer was briefly visible on SEGA’s Japanese YouTube channel. SEGA may want to show the trailer for the first time at gamescom, which takes place August 23-28 in Cologne, Germany. Sonic Frontiers is in the line-up of games that SEGA wants to show at the fair.

Despite the fact that the trailer was quickly protected by SEGA, the video has since been shared across multiple platforms. Twitter user Nibel showed a screenshot of the trailer showing the release date. In the same thread another user shared the thirty second teaser.

Sonic Frontiers is a 3D platformer, similar in gameplay to Sonic Adventure from 1998. As Sonic, the player explores the Starfall Islands, which consist of various biomes, including flowery fields, forests, ancient ruins and deserts. The game will be released for Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles and Xbox consoles.
