Sonic Frontiers releases November 8 for current-gen consoles and PC
SEGA confirmed the release date of Sonic Frontiers at Gamescom. The game will be released on November 8 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X. The game is available for PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.
Yesterday the release date for the reveal was leaked, but now SEGA has confirmed it itself. The developer shared a new trailer during Gamescom opening night, showing off gameplay and part of the story of Sonic Frontiers. It shows different types of landscapes and levels, including one that is reminiscent of Green Hill Zone, the first level of Sonic The Hedgehog, which appeared in 1991 for the SEGA Mega Drive.
Customers who pre-order the digital or physical version will receive a number of in-game bonuses, including extra XP points and power-ups. There will be two digital versions of the game: the Digital Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. The deluxe version includes the Explorer’s Treasure Box, which includes cosmetics for Sonic, and costs 69.99 euros. The digital and physical standard version of Sonic Frontiers costs 59.99 euros. Little is known about a physical deluxe version.
