Somfy makes its TaHoma blinds and blinds compatible with Apple HomeKit. This means that the devices can be operated via iPhones and Apple Watches. The update applies only to the most recent version of the hub.

Somfy TahomaSomfy says the functionality will be brought to the TaHoma hub via an update. This will happen from 1 December. Only the products with the io home protocol are compatible with HomeKit. These are roller blinds, sun blinds and blinds . It is only possible to operate it individually. HomeKit is not going to support scenarios. Users can create scenes in HomeKit themselves. Rooms can also not be operated separately. Other devices from the Belgian manufacturer, such as security cameras, cannot be controlled via HomeKit.

The update is only for the second generation TaHoma Smart Control. The older hub is not getting the update, the company writes. Somfy already gave the TaHoma and Connexoon hub support for Google Assistant last year .
