Somfy announces smart roller blinds
Somfy has announced motorized roller blinds in the Huna line that can be controlled with a smartphone app. In addition, users can integrate light sensors for automatic opening and closing based on incident sunlight.
The Somfy app offers users the option of controlling a blind or group. In addition, they can set home scenarios and timer functions themselves and determine the position of the blinds. In addition to the app, there is a wireless wall switch that works on the basis of bluetooth 4.2 and has a range of 20 meters indoors. The Huna light sensor also connects via bluetooth 4.2 and the batteries of this wireless accessory provide the sensor with sufficient power for two years.
The Huna roller blinds themselves are also battery powered and with this the blinds will work for up to three years, assuming one up and down movement per day. Somfy supplies the curtains with a minimum width of 87.4cm, maximum width of 250cm, minimum height of 38cm and maximum height of 250cm.
The starting price of the Huna roller blinds is 337 euros. The light sensor costs 65 euros.
