Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is looking for eight people to fly to the moon, the BBC writes. It involves a trip around the moon on a SpaceX flight.

“I want people from all kinds of backgrounds to participate,” said the Japanese in a video on Twitter.

Fly to the moon for free

He goes on to say that he will pay for the entire trip. So you fly to the moon for free.

Candidates must meet two criteria: they must undertake ‘whatever activity’ they undertake to ‘help other people and society in some way,’ and be ‘willing to support other crew members who share the same ambitions,’ said he.
More than 100,000 people have already registered. In term of registration number one is India, two is Japan and three is America.

Party of rich Japanese

The Japanese is a fashion magnate and art collector. He often has these kinds of strange requests. Last year he also launched a documentary about his search for a new girlfriend to travel with.

In 2018, he was named as the first private passenger to be flown around the moon by SpaceX, Teslaman’s Elon Musk company.

It is not known what he has to pay for it, but according to Muske it is ‘a lot of money’. The trip is scheduled for 2023, making it the first lunar trip of humans since 1972.
