XPero released the second beta release of version 4.7 of XPize yesterday. With this program the user interface of Windows XP or 2003 can be brightened up. There are still pictures and icons in Windows that in some cases have not changed since Windows 95. XPize modifies the original images in over 150 system files to customize icons, animations, and the like. So no separate software is needed to display them. Furthermore, the screensaver, the start-up and login screen can also be adjusted. XPize is available in a normal (7.94MB) and a Lite version (5.91MB), the latter missing the icons in 128×128 format.

XPize works with all versions of Windows XP and 2003 Server in any language, but only with the 32-bit variants. However, version 2.0 of the .NET FrameWork needed to use it. The program can be used to refresh an existing installation, or to modify it directly in the installation files, so-called slipstreaming. Some screenshots of XPize are up this page to find.
