XPize, now hosted by thunderhoster and no longer hosted by msfn, has now received final status after a release candidate earlier this month. With this program the user interface of Windows XP or 2003 can be improved. There are still pictures and icons in Windows that in some cases have not changed since Windows 95. XPize modifies the original images in more than 150 system files to modify icons, animations and the like. So no separate software is needed to display them. Furthermore, the screensaver, the start-up and login screen can also be adjusted. XPize is available in a normal (9.11MB) and a Lite version (5.75MB), the latter of which lacks the 128×128 icons.

XPize works with all versions of Windows XP and 2003 Server in any language, but only with the 32-bit variants. However, version 2.0 of it .NET FrameWork necessary to use it. The program can be used to refresh an existing installation, or to modify them directly in the installation files, so-called slipstreaming. Some screenshots of XPize are finished this page to find.
