XPero recently released the final version of XPize version 4.2. This program is intended to spice up the user interface of Windows XP or 2003. There are still pictures and icons in Windows that have sometimes not changed since Windows 95. XPize modifies more than 150 system files to modify icons (from 32×32 to 128×128), animations and images. Furthermore, the screen saver and the start-up and login screen can also be adjusted as an option. on this page several screenshots can be admired. XPize is available in a normal (8.9MB) and a Lite version (5.3MB), the latter of which lacks the 128×128 icons. This release is compiled with the .NET Framework 2.0, so it will need to be installed in order to run XPize. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• /novs skips Royale installation
• /noskins skips XPize Software Skins installation

• Checks are made if Normal Install selected and not when initializing
• Checks whether system requires restart or not
