Spread the love

Pierre Gougelet released the second update for the Xnview version 1.94 a week and a half ago on Friday. With this program, more than 400 different formats of graphic files can be opened and converted. Xnview is free for home use and non-profit organizations and can be used in more than 40 languages. The software is available for various operating systems, such as Mac OS X, Linux and Solaris, but these are several generations behind the Windows version. On the download page three different versions are available: a minimal, a standard and a complete version, the difference being in the number of supported formats and whether Nconvert is included. Below you can see which bugs have been fixed with both updates:

Version 1.94.2 fixes these bugs:

  • EXIF resolves in batch convert
  • EXIF/IPTC in tooltips for TIFF file
  • Message for tiff file
  • TIFF 16bits LZW + Predictor
  • Text in preview pane

Version 1.94.1 fixes these bugs:

  • ‘Ignore alpha’ & 32bit BMP
  • NoWia doesn’t work in browser mode
  • TIFF ‘one strip’
  • ‘Recreate Embedded Thumbnail’
  • ICC profile used in convert
  • uncolored label & drag&drop
