Xfire is an application for online gamers who like to keep in touch with other online gamers. With this you can easily join the same game where a friend is playing. There are currently 74 games supported which is continuously expanded upon user requests. Recently version 0.7 was released with the following changelog:

• fixed several important client crashes
• implemented a cap of 50 friends of friends you can see, or who can see you. This will save you some bandwidth when you have a lot of friends or friends.
• Added flag to turn off friends or friends entirely. If you turn them off, you will save yourself some bandwidth. (user suggestions)
• ability to cut and paste your friends’ server IP and port (user suggestion)
• cleaner login dialog for new users
• tweaked user interface for adding a friend
• right-click menu in the IM window (user suggeston)
• color codes stripped from game server name (user suggestion)
• lots of other bug fixes
• new games supported: Day of Defeat, Deathmatch Classic, Half-Life, Opposing Force, Ricochet, Team Fortress Classic, Vietcong, Aliens vs. Predator 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Dark Age of Camelot – Trials of Atlantis, Tron 2.0 (all user suggestions)
