Download XBT Client 0.7.1

The BitTorrent client XBT hasn’t been in the junk tracker for a while and Xardas was kind enough to point it out to us. This program, developed by Olaf van der Spek, was created with low processor and memory usage in mind. The result is a small and no-nonsense program of less than a megabyte in size. Below are all the changes that the program has undergone since the previous entry in the junk tracker:

XBT Client 0.7.1

• Fixed Windows XP style support.
• Fixed crash after unhide.
• New text based configuration storage format (xbt_client.conf).
• Added authentication (one user/pass) to admin port.
• Bound admin port to *:6879 instead of localhost:6879.

XBT Client 7.0:

• Added XBT Client Command Line Interface to the XBT Client Backend.
• Switched from Visual Studio 6 to Visual Studio 2005.

XBT Client 6.8:

• Fixed chunk size in UI.
• Again fixed compatibility with Mainline.

XBT Client 6.7:

• Reduced chunk size from 32 kb to 16 kb to restore compatibility with Mainline and uTorrent. Those clients silently broke compatibility with other existing clients and with the official specifications.
• Due to this change saved state will be lost, so you’ll have to reopen your torrents. Data won’t be lost.

XBT Client 6.6:

• Added Tools – Options – Peer ID
• Added Global Details – Down Rate – Average
• Added Global Details – Up Rate – Average

XBT Client 6.5:

• Added key paremeter to tracker announces

XBT Client 6.4:

• Added Completed and Started columns to Torrents view.

XBT Client 6.3:

• Added digit to durations (2.4 hours instead of 2 hours).

XBT Client 6.2:

• Fixed bug on Windows 9x that caused c:\xbt\ to be used for options and state files instead of c:\windows\application data\xbt\.
