Download WSUS Offline Update 8.4

Version 8.4 of WSUS Offline Update has been released. This program makes it possible to provide Windows computers that have no or a slow internet connection with the latest updates from Microsoft. Simply checking one or more operating systems, office suites and languages ​​will download all available updates from Microsoft’s ftp server. When the updates are in, an ISO file is optionally made per language or per operating system. Other computers can then be updated quickly and easily via a CD or DVD. WSUS Offline Update has support for Windows XP and later, and Office 2007 and later. The following changes have been made in this release:

Modifications in version 8.4:

• UpdateInstaller script will now remind user’s presets inbetween manual recalls
• DoUpdate.cmd script will now beep to request manual reboots
• Fix: Microsoft does not support dynamic determination of Updates for Office 2013
• Fix: Installation part missed updates for Internet Explorer 10
• Fix: UpdateGenerator script will now check installation state of Trusted Root Certificates
• Fix: UpdateGenerator script will now block UNC script paths
• Fix: UpdateGenerator and UpdateInstaller scripts will now block invalid %TEMP% paths
• Fix: Double-quoted parameter check could prevent installation of Office File Converter Pack
• Fix: Download part missed PowerPoint 2007 Security Update kb2596764 due to a bug in Microsoft’s update catalog file wsusscn2.cab
• Fix: Language messages and prerequisites’ problem corrected in Linux scripts
• Fix: Invalid download paths for C++ Runtime Libraries in Linux script DownloadUpdates.sh
• Fix: Differences between Linux and Windows download parts
