Download WSUS Offline Update 6.7
The developers of WSUS Offline Update released version 6.7 a few days ago. This program makes it possible to provide Windows computers with a slow or no internet connection with the latest updates from Microsoft. By simply checking one or more operating systems, office packages and languages, all available updates are downloaded from Microsoft’s ftp server. When the updates are in, an ISO file is optionally made per language or per operating system. Other computers can then be updated quickly and easily via a CD or DVD. The tool supports Windows and Office XP and later. The list of changes for this release is as follows:
Modifications in version 6.7
- Windows 2000 support removed
- Office 2010 support added
- Office updates will be dynamically determined again (Thanks to Martin Trenkner)
- Office support removed from Linux download and ISO creation scripts
- Office updates will also preferentially be downloaded from an optional local WSUS server
- Downloads from a local WSUS server will now also use proxy settings (Thanks to “OlegK”)
- WSUS download source configuration may optionally be transferred to client side WUSStatusServer
- Automatic recall feature enhanced to support Windows Vista and Server 2008 systems
- Proprietary autologon implementation replaced by Sysinternals’ tool Autologon.exe
- Removed obsolete utility extract.exe
- XSLT filters for Windows (“win”) refined (Thanks to “Denniss”)
