An update was released yesterday for the version 2.3 of WordPress released at the end of September. WordPress is a piece of blogging software that is made available under the gpl license. According to them, the software can be made working within five minutes, at least if a server with PHP and MySQL is already available. In addition to ‘blogging’, it is also possible to further expand the functionality of WordPress and adjust the appearance by means of plugins and themes. In version 2.3.1 are more than twenty bugs fixed, the main ones can be found below:

• Tagging support for Windows Live Writer
• Fixes for a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than their WordPress Address
• Faster taxonomy database queries, especially tag intersection queries
