Anyone who takes a closer look at maintaining a network or trying to solve communication problems on a network can use a so-called packet sniffer. The Wireshark program is a continuation of the well-known Ethereal and is able to analyze the data that is sent over the network and to distinguish between the different network protocols, so that the network traffic can be monitored in its entirety. • The SCTP dissector could crash.
