Corel, now owner of WinZip, has released version 11.1 of this archiving program. WinZip used to be a widely seen program on the PC, but with the built-in Zip support in the newer versions of Windows and competition from programs like WinRAR and 7-Zip, its popularity has been waning for a while now. Since version 10.0 there are two different versions; a standard and a pro version. The first costs thirty dollars, the second costs fifty dollars, with an upgrade from version 10.0 costing half.
