Download Winrar 3.80 Beta 5

RAR Labs released the fifth beta release of version 3.80 of its popular archiving program Winrar on Friday. The popular compression tool is available for various operating systems, including DOS, Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. For the first time, there are also separate 32bit and 64bit versions for Linux. Only the download for Windows is currently available for this fifth beta release. Rar can handle most common formats including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z, support for Zip64 (unpack only) and multivolume cab files . Compared to the fourth beta release, the following two changes have been made:

Changes in version 3.80 beta 5:

• It is now possible to include quotation marks in command line parameters of WinRAR GUI self-extracting modules. Use two consecutive quotation marks if you need to do that.
• WinRAR displays the total progress bar when extracting TAR archives.
