RAR Labs has released the fourth beta release of version 3.80 of its popular archiving programs RAR and Winrar. The popular compression tool is available for various operating systems, including DOS, Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. For the first time, there are also separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions for Linux. Both rar programs can handle most common formats including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z, support for Zip64 (extract only) and multivolume cab files. Compared to the third beta release, the following two changes have been made:

Changes in version 3.80 beta 4:

• In some situations previous beta versions could fail to create RAR recovery volumes.
• In previous beta versions it was impossible to change a name of next volume in “Next volume” dialog. Volume name specified by user was ignored.
