Download WinRAR 3.70 beta 2

RAR Labs just released the second beta release of version 3.70 of its popular archiving program WinRAR. WinRAR can handle most common archiving formats including rar, zip, cab, arj, lzh, tar, gz, ace, uue, bz2, jar, iso, 7z and z, has a skinnable interface, supports Zip64 (unpack only) and multi-volume CAB files. Were versions available for Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X, FreeBSD and DOS with the first beta release, this time only the Windows version is available on the download page to find. This release’s changelog shows one change and three bug fixes:

• Positions of “Mode” and “Cancel” buttons in archiving dialog have been exchanged.
• Bug corrected:
  • beta 1 could truncate names of files decompressed from ISO 9660 archives by one character;
  • progress bars in archive conversion window did not work correctly with “Windows progress bars” option turned on;
  • “Load WinRAR settings from” dialog did not displayed if settings.reg was not present in %appdata%\WinRAR folder.
