Download WinRAR 3.10 Beta 5

WinRAR is one of the most widely used programs to package different types of files. The strength of the compression can be set yourself so that the compressed files are unpacked faster the lower the compression. It is also possible to share large files into several small files, so that, for example, you can put a presentation on multiple thicksettes. Version 3.10 Beta 5 was recently released and has the following changes:

1. SFX module sets ‘sfxname’ environment variable before starting a program specified in “Setup” command. This variable contains the name of SFX module, so setup program may read it if it needs such information.
2. Speed ​​of flat view mode improved under Windows 9x and Me.
3. If -x switch does not contain wildcards, it does not match files contained in subfolders of ‘folder’.
4. Bug fixed:

a) depending on MS Internet Explorer settings, SFX module could fail to display high ASCII characters in “Text” command;
b) it was impossible to set the reverse sorting for file list columns in the flat view mode;
c) SFX “SavePath” command did not work in the previous beta.
