Download Wine 1.2 RC7

Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API. This makes it possible to run DOS and Windows programs on Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X, among others. A new development build is released every Friday every other week. Wine is contributed by a large group of developers, which is why it was decided to release a new build every two weeks, instead of waiting for a number of new features to be ready. However, once in a while a stable release becomes available and version 1.2 is currently being worked on. The seventh release candidate was released on Friday and as in the previous few releases, the changelog only shows updated translations and bug fixes.

• Gothic 2 won’t start – complains about hook process
• CommFort: cannot use sound capture
• Notation Composer: crashes when opening menus when using ALSA
