Download Wine 1.0.1

Version 1.0.1 of Wine has just been released. This should not be confused with the current 1.1.x development versions, but this is a successor to the version 1.0, which was released in mid-June. Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API. This makes it possible to run DOS and Windows programs on Linux, Freebsd and Mac OS X, among others. The database with applications running under Wine, contains 11,556 titles at the time of writing. Below is the announcement of the 1.0.1 release:

The Wine maintenance release 1.0.1 is now available.

This is a maintenance release from the 1.0 stable branch. It contains only translation updates and small bug fixes.

The source is available now. Binary packages are in the process of being built, and will appear soon at their respective download locations.[break]
