Download Wine 0.9.12
In order to be able to run Windows programs on other operating systems, they started developing the Wine program years ago. Meanwhile, this program runs on Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. It also features various possibilities such as support for DirectX, OpenGL and printing via a PostScript driver. The developers have released a new version of their implementation of Microsoft’s Win32 Application Programming Interfaces (API). The version number has ended up at 0.9.12 and includes the following list of changes:
What’s new in this release:
- New Winelib Internet Explorer application (all 5 lines of it).
- Several improvements to the font support.
- More work on the IDL compiler.
- Faster drawing of the cards in Solitaire (very important feature).
- A number of fixes for issues found by the Coverity code checker.
- Lots of bug fixes.
