Download Windows Tweaker 5.1

Windows Tweaker is an open source program that can be used to adjust a large number of system settings. The download is small, but it needs version 4.5 of the .NET Framework to do its job. It therefore only works on Windows Vista or higher. At the moment Windows Tweaker is only available in English, German and Russian, but more translations will be added soon. Version 5.0 was released at the beginning of this month, in which the program has been completely rewritten, and now the first update has been released.

• Bug fixes for app crashing at several places
• Fixed Default Selection Color button not working under Display -> Selection Color
• Improved keyboard support for search.

Changes in version 5.0

• Complete rewrite from scratch, for a more efficient and improved experienced.
• Added ability to search tweaks.
• Windows Tweaker now also comes in German and Russian.
• Added two new categories, Start Screen and Navigation under Explorer, which contain several tweaks for Windows 8.
• Added another new category, Search under System.
• Display has now a new category called Icon title, which allows user to customize icon’s text wrapping behavior.
• Added a new tweak called Display files using old-style file sorting algorithm under Display->Explorer.
• Under Tasks added a new tweak called Create file to create large files.
• Open with customization, Startup Manager and many other tweaks have been re-implemented, to provide a better user-experience.
