The developers of Nullsoft come to delight us today with Winamp 5.094. This popular media player can handle the most common audio and video formats and can be downloaded in different variants. The Lite version only plays music files, while the Full version also plays video files, listens to web radio broadcasts (SHOUTcast) and, to a limited extent, can also rip CDs. Finally, the Pro version can also encode files and burn CDs. However, you have to pay for these features. The changelog of version 5.094 shows the following changes:

• in_wm now handles bitrate and length extended info
• New random number generation for playlist shuffle

• Security vulnerability in id3v2 tags
• Winamp now shuffles playlists larger than 32,768 songs
• Fade on start now behaves properly *
