Download Webmin 1,390
Webmin has been updated to version 1.390 just before Christmas. With this program a Unix-like system can be maintained and administered from a web browser. For example, it is possible to manage user accounts, change settings for Apache, MySQL and DNS, and create file shares. Webmin consists of a simple web server supplemented with various cgi programs, all written in Perl 5. The software is published under bsd license and is available in different flavors from this page to download. The changelog for this release looks like this:
Changes in version 1.390:
- Added the LDAP Server module, for managing OpenLDAP and browsing it’s database.
- Webmin modules and help pages can be searched using a new field on the left frame of the default theme.
- The BSD Firewall (IPFW) module now supports the file format used natively by FreeBSD’s /etc/rc.conf file.
- Support for VLANs and channel bonding on Debian, comments on interfaces on Redhat and alias interface bug fixes for FreeBSD, all in the Network Configuration module.
- The PAM module now supports include directives, and the UI has been re-written.
- More map types are supported in the Postfix module.
- Squid proxy reply restrictions can now be managed, from a re-designed access control page.
- Logged Webmin actions can now have a comment attached explaining why they were done.
- All cluster modules now have an option to show hosts in a table.
- Big contributed Italian and Catalan translation updates.
