Download Webmin 1.290

Two weeks after the release of version 1,280 of Webmin, version 1,290 is already available for you. With this program a Unix-like system can be maintained and administered from a web browser. For example, it is possible to manage user accounts, change settings for Apache, MySQL and DNS, and create file shares. Webmin consists of a simple web server supplemented with various cgi programs, all written in Perl 5. The software is published under BSD license and can be downloaded in different flavors from this page. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

• Fixed a security hole that would allow a remote attacker to view any file on the system.
• Added the LDAP Client module, for setting up a Linux system to get users and groups from an LDAP server.
