Download Weather Watcher 5.5a

A few days after the release of Weather Watcher 5.5, the folks at Singer’s Creations released a minor update to the 5.5 branch. The new issue has been given version number 5.5a and is available via this direct link to download. Weather Watcher is able to show the weather forecasts of multiple cities. For example, the temperature, humidity and air pressure are displayed. Below are the release notes of version 5.5a posted:

For some reason, the Weather Watcher 5.5a installation is removing the Weather Watcher auto start key in the Windows registry. My guess is that it’s a bug in the installation program that I’m using. I’ve uploaded new installations to take care of the problem. If you’ve already installed Weather Watcher 5.5a, then just go into the ‘General’ section of the Weather Watcher Options and check/uncheck the ‘Start when Windows loads’ checkbox. A slew of people emailed me about the Hourly Forecast being off a day. When I correct the problem, I’ll post a fix here.

• Included a known working download method to get by the “Server Not Found” error.
• Fixed the hourly forecast — It was failing when attempting to process the hourly forecast after midnight.
• Added “:” to the “H” when displaying abbreviations in the tray tooltip.
